Rebuilding is happening in 2021 and I am no exception. Rebuilding can either be a time of celebration or a bad-tasting symbol of defeat. Daily lifting one foot in front of the other, and seemingly no relief. To add insult to injury, it can seem like God is totally silent during this time of uncertainty.
Whoever finds hope and a sense of adventure in the mist of loss, grief, and perplexing situations, needs to know there is a ladder that leads to answers.That Ladder is Christ who already is on top of it. If we trust in what He is building, then each rung of the ladder is a step closer to seeing Him in the process. If we look around, and stretch our necks to see what He is up to, we’ll see that we are not alone – just like this tribe of in the picture.
These Amish actually built that barn in one day! They learned how to work perfectly together by following those who had gone before them.These elders are passing on barn-raising to the next generation. These elders had learned reliance upon God to know how to build, how to use their hands without any electricity, to work shoulder to shoulder without fault in order to complete the task – of helping others in need.
Let me introduce you to some of those who were instrumental in modeling “barn-raising” for me:
Now, I am in the season of the final touches. I am asking the Architect of my life to give the final details for the roof – which will need to withstand the wind and the weather; anything that could come against it to try to rip it off. Everything below it has been perfectly put together, but 2021 and beyond has new, never heard of before, obstacles that could come against it to try to do overthrow it.
The barn door needs to be perfectly leveled to make sure it will hang plumb and swing freely. There will be new people coming and going, but of a different caliber.
All these years (45) I have been building for you, the reader, and I cherish every one of those years. The community God has given me has been a vital part in order to build. Whatever your part is, or has been, whether viewing from the embankment, or hands-on, God has selected you to be a part of this building and rebuilding. Thank you for listening to Him … and obeying.
Now, as the elder, I am looking at a blueprint that includes something more. I’ve climbed the ladder and experienced the rungs. The structure is solid, and in the completion stage. In order for it to continue to be a landmark there is needs to be an expansion. A God-ordained person(s), who can learn how to use the right tools, and work should-to-shoulder with me to further the building.
The fields are plowed, now a silo needs to be built and filled with a new crop for MLM.
As my story is being told – what about you? I urge you: Don’t sit on the bank unless that’s where your meant to be at this time. If your an elder, train others. If your the one who needs to learn to build, then find one who raises barns! God can equip to build in just-one-day! There is a tremendous need out there for builders! Fill those silos!!
